What if I measure incorrectly?

 

We get that mistakes happen. If you accidentally measured incorrectly, we can work with you to figure out a solution. If you measured too wide and the treatment is longer than the window itself, we may be able to trim the treatment down in width to the correct size at no fee (this is based on the fabric type, product line, and width of the shade). If trimming the shade is not possible, or if the opposite problem has occurred and the shade is too narrow, or an alternative issue such as the length being incorrect- we will allow you to buy a new shade with the correct measures at a discount of 50% off. (Offer is only valid for 30 days after order date and must be a replacement of the original window shade purchased).

 

What if I don't like what I ordered?

 

We value our customers and want them to enjoy their purchased product. If you are not satisfied with your shades, we will work with you to find a solution. If there is an issue with the production of your window shade we will remake or fix the product to your satisfaction. If you believe you chose an incorrect product or fabric, we will allow you to make a new purchase of your desired product at a discount of 50% off. Offer is only valid for 30 days after the purchase date and must be replacing the original window shade purchased).

 

What if my shade breaks?

 

BAJA SHADES STORE values quality above all else. We believe our products are made from durable materials and components. Under typical conditions, your window shade should operate as expected for many years. If you are in a situation where you find that your window treatment is not working properly or as expected, please contact our customer service team and we will be happy to get it fixed for you.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

 

Warranty Coverage

 

We provide a limited lifetime warranty (the "Warranty") on the product against manufacturing defects (i.e., a flaw in the product design, materials or workmanship that causes the product to no longer function) under normal use and for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. If your product is defective during the warranty period, we will repair or replace the defective product. This shall be your sole remedy under this Warranty. The Warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only, is non-transferable, and only applies to custom-made products in the original windows for which the product was ordered and intended. The warranty period for motors and related accessories is limited to 5 years from the date of receipt of goods.

 

The Warranty Does Not Cover

 

• defects that result from abuse, misuse, normal wear and tear, accidents, alterations, exposure to the elements, excessive humidity, or failure to follow use and care instructions. Examples of normal wear and tear include, but are not limited to: fraying of fabrics, loss of color intensity, exposure to salt air, damage from insects or pets, normal fading from sunlight, or loss of pleating (if product is not being cycled (held in the raised position for an appreciable portion of the time)); • normal maintenance associated with motors and related accessories including, but not limited to, recharging and replacement of batteries; • any condition or damage resulting from removal of the product or reinstallation in the same or any other window or application; • products unusable by reason of miss-measurement or assembly or installation not in accordance with product installation instructions; • shipping costs, costs of removal, re-measuring and reinstallation.

 

Servicing

 

If Warranty service is ever needed, please contact Customer Service at (800)791-9215 or email customerservice@bajashades.store and we will arrange for warranty repair or replacement as quickly as possible. When contacting Customer Service to request warranty repair or replacement, please be prepared to provide your name, address, a description of the problem, the date of purchase, and the date and conditions under which the problem occurred. When shipping the product back to Customer Service, please include: a copy of order receipt to verify the original date of purchase; your name; address; a description of the problem; and the date and conditions under which the problem occurred.

 

State Law Rights

 

NEITHER BAJA SHADES STORE, NOR ITS MANUFACTURERS SHALL BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR ANY OTHER INDIRECT DAMAGE, LOSS, COST OR EXPENSE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

 

No agent, representative, dealer or unauthorized employee of The Shade Store has the authority to increase or alter the obligations under the Warranty. This Warranty supersedes any previous versions and is subject to change without prior notice.
